Welcome to Lansing Operation Graduation!
Operation Graduation - or "OpGrad" - has been a tradition at Lansing High School for several years. The seniors’ parents put on a substance-free celebration for the graduates the night of graduation. This is a FREE event that includes lots of activities, food, and prizes (e.g. refrigerators, computers, televisions and much more!) for each attendee to choose. Graduates arrive at the high school the evening of Graduation around 8:00 pm and board busses that take them to another location for a “lock-in”. The venue reserved most often is Harney Gym on Ft. Leavenworth. Once there, graduates can swim, bowl, dance, play games (e.g. inflatables, video games, gym space) and watch an impressive mentalist perform. Food and drinks will be provided throughout the night and drawings will be held for prizes. They return to the high school by 5:00 – 5:30 a.m. the next morning. |
