How to donate toward your student's OpGrad CelebrationThe Lansing OpGrad event is a monumental undertaking, with a budget each year of approximately $25,000 (that's approximately $100/student). Volunteers from each class have come together to take a more long-term approach to the event. With significant parent input and encouragement, Lansing OpGrad has instituted a 'buy in' program for each class. From now on, families from each class will have the opportunity to donate toward their student's OpGrad Celebration. The intention is to cut down on the number of fundraisers our students participate in on an annual basis. Several options are available - donate every year, every other year, or a one-time donation. Any option for any amount is available through PayPal. Once your donation is made, you will receive a receipt from PayPal. When you click on your student's class link, that donation will be deposited into a savings account at Citizens Savings & Loan Assoc. F.S.B. in Leavenworth, Kansas. With the exception of the current senior class - whose funds will be deposited into the active checking account - all monies will be held in savings until your student becomes a senior. Then, the money will be transferred to the OpGrad Checking Account. Please be advised that all donations are non-refundable. If you leave LHS before graduation, your donation will not be refunded.
Please note: OpGrad is a free event open to ALL graduated seniors in good standing at Lansing High School. A student's inability to participate in fundraising and/or a parent's inability to donate has absolutely no affect on the graduate's attendance.
